Registration: Operator applies / re-applies for certification by submitting the appropriate completed Registration Form (IFA or CoC) to info@srs-certification.com.

Registration Review, Approval, Offer & Contract: SRS staff reviews the registration and may ask for further information to approve the registration and issue an offer. Together with the offer (annually), the operator will receive the certification contract (applicable for initial applications and if the certification contract had been updated) and GLOBALG.A.P. Sublicense and Certification Agreement (linked to SRS Certification Contract) to be signed and submitted to SRS.

Submission of Registration / Annual Registration update: After SRS receives news that the operator has accepted the offer, and – in the case of an initial application – the signed contract and GLOBALG.A.P. Sublicense and Certification Agreement (S&CA), the operator will be sent a request for payment of the certification fee.

Registration in GLOBALG.A.P. Database & Preparation of Inspection: Once payment has been received, SRS staff will register & accept the operator and their products in the GLOBALG.A.P. database and issue an assignment to the inspector. The date for the inspection will be fixed after communication with the operator (for announced inspections) or internally without operator notification (in case of unannounced inspections).

Annual Inspection: The very first inspection will always be announced. The SRS inspector will conduct the on-site inspection, covering all areas of the operation in depth and communicate all findings to the operator before leaving. Shortly after the inspection, the SRS inspector will complete the inspection report, and submit it for review and certification to SRS.

Inspection Report Review: The inspection report will be evaluated by the SRS GLOBALG.A.P. Certification Committee.

If no non-compliances (NCs) are found during the inspection, a certificate will be issued within 28 days of the inspection.

In case NCs are detected, the operator has to submit their corrective actions to SRS within 28 days. If the operator was successful in demonstrating that NCs were corrected, the certificate will be issued within 28 days of reception of corrective actions. In case the detected NCs were not corrected by the operator in the foreseen timeline or NCs are not correctable, SRS will implement the adequate sanctions: Open Non-Conformance (in case of initial inspections), Suspension or Cancellation.

The operator has the option to withdraw its certification request at any time under particular conditions.

Surveillance: After initial GLOBALG.A.P. certification, for the purpose of surveillance, regular & additional inspections, announced or unannounced will be conducted.
